That precious gift of time…
You know that gift of time I always talk about? It is real. It is necessary, and it changes. An ebb and flow if you will.
And it is OK.
That’s life.
I also admit to wondering if balance is possible. It is. I have worn those shoes and still wear them. And yet…might you agree there always seems to be something that takes precedence? At different times and seasons, some aspects will need more attention than others.
That is OK too.
Right now, my family is at the forefront for me. It is where I am needed, and where I cherish my most valuable time.
With that said, I will be taking time away from blogging, indefinitely.
Yes, I will step in on occasion to engage with many of your blog posts. I truly enjoy them and appreciate the chance to be in this most amazing, global community. This place where we can all connect with the love of reading, writing and photography.
I hope you will continue to be inspired by the Lens-Artists weekly challenges. The genuine quest and vision, of the team, is to encourage others to get out there and enjoy photography…together. I wish you knew them as I do, and could hear the laughter we share over Zoom calls while we talk about possible challenges, calendars, and life in our very different worlds. Tina, Patti, Ann-Christine, Sofia, Anne, John, Ritva, and Egidio are outstanding photographers, as you know, and as humans they are phenomenal. I am better for having them in my life. Find them here.
So ya… It was tough to see the truth in the bathroom mirror that stared at me this past week. It said: Stop for a minute, there is something more pressing that needs your attention, and it can’t wait.
And with a deep breath I chimed back, yes. Of course, time…the most precious gift…of time.
